December 2009 Update -Merry Christmas - Year Two!!!

Caroling

Weeeee're Back!! After months of no blogging, we're back on line to tell the tale of living in the Village of Calumet. The good news is that 2009 was a very fine year for Gyngr and me. God continues to bless us with more friends and a larger church family. This also has been a very cold year including the one day of summer we had. Luckily November was tame and we've only gotten 70 inches of snow so far (December 22nd).

The church has just bought a pasonage and we are overjoyed to take possession of it in the next month!! We will officially become Calumet Village residents when we move and are somewhat excited about the transition. Please pray for us as we do the packing and unpacking routine again.

This summer, we had the opportunity to have Vacation Bible School which was a big success. Woodland Valley Church from Mars, Pa. came up here as a Mission trip to  conduct VBS and also paint the church. Grace Christian was blessed by this time of working and fellowshipping together. From this one event we had two new families join us and become members. - ( Facelift of the Church ) ( Vacation Bible School 2009)

We continued on our caroling ways by dressing up in Dickens Garb and visiting the downtown busineses. Fun was had by all although it was a little blustery!!

We continue to be excited by what God is doing here and hope you would come visit us some day.

So on behalf of us and Grace Christian Fellowship Church, we wish you all a Blessed Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year. May God grant you all that you wish on this day that we celebrate the birth of His Son.

In His Love,

Merle & Gyngr
